The results of a new study have appeared online. They showed that players who spend time in virtual reality are faced with a significantly faster flow of this very time.

Scientific work on the topic was carried out by specialists from the University of California. During their experiment, it was found that players who were supposed to beep 5 minutes later gave it 1,12 minutes later.

According to the researchers, this effect is due to the fact that in virtual reality a person is less aware of his physical body. So, if in VR you look down (to where your body is), then you may well not see anything or see the outline of a figure. This leads to a disturbed perception of oneself as a physical object.

All about VR technology

It may seem that the difference between virtual, augmented mixed reality is completely imaginary and subtle. Indeed, at first glance, the difference may be barely noticeable, without bright clear boundaries, because changes occur very quickly. Users have the right to choose any of the existing realities and systems for use. Before choosing one of them, and before purchasing all the necessary attributes, you must look at all the characteristics of the systems and choose the most optimal one.

VR

This system is rightfully the most widespread and most popular. Using it, you can completely immerse yourself in another world, completely virtual. Thanks to HMD and other gadgets, you can plunge into a different reality, with your picture, sounds, and touches. You will be able to control objects and walk around the virtual world. This is all possible with the help of special controllers that are connected to the computer.

AR

Augmented reality is capable of bringing graphics into real life. The most striking example is the game Pokémon GO. AR is completely based on the real picture, it can only diversify and add elements of computer graphics and the virtual world. This is a completely different degree of perception of the picture.

Mixed reality

This technology is famous for the fact that it can mix in itself both the real world and graphic objects. A person can use both digital and real-life tools at hand. He can pick up objects and move around using digital devices and gadgets, just like ordinary real things. Mixed reality makes it possible to stay and watch what is happening in the real world while using VR. To use this technology, you need to have special controllers and other devices that will help you move and perform various actions in the system. Such devices make it possible to do so that one part of the body is in the real world, and the other in the virtual. This reduces the difference between digital and real. With its help, you can completely change the system of work of innovative technologies designed for work, games, and other things.

 Where VR can be used

Modern systems can be used in a wide variety of fields of activity, both in teaching and in entertainment.

Medical use. Designed for education and training of future doctors. It is possible to reproduce operations.

For TV. VR helps you create amazing and most realistic special effects.

For traveling. Thanks to VR, you can be anywhere in the world, and admire the beauties of overseas countries while in your room.

In sports. There are many dedicated training apps for pros and amateur athletes.

For fun. The most widespread and frequently used sphere is entertainment, including games. More than a thousand gaming applications have been created in various fields.
