US engineering corporation Boston Dynamics has unveiled a new robot called Stretch that will help move boxes in warehouses.

The international news company Reuters broadcasts about this event.

According to the vice president of the corporation for business development, the developed device can move up to 800 boxes weighing 23 kg in one hour.

Everyone knows that unloading trucks are one of the most labor-intensive and time-consuming jobs in a warehouse for employees. To simplify your work and increase efficiency, the corporation offers Stretch roaming services.

Also, the heads of the organization stated that the robot can perform only one task - to carry boxes because many companies from all over the world asked Boston Dynamics to develop a robot exactly for this task.

It is noted that the robot is equipped with cameras and can distinguish between the sizes of boxes.

It is worth mentioning that two years ago, the company introduced a two-wheeled robot-loader Handle, capable of handling boxes of the same size weighing up to 5 kg and independently unloading and loading warehouse pallets.

The new and improved Stretch robot has four wheels, which makes it more stable. It can also move boxes almost five times heavier than those with which his predecessor worked.

Sales of robots are predicted to start in 2022.
